Lefèbvre's Ringlet - Erebia lefebvrei
![]() |
Family: Satyridae. Flight Time: June - August. Size: 40-48mm Altitude: 1700-2700m |
| Notes: There are two nearly all black Erebia in Europe. Lefèbvre's Ringlet resides in the Pyrenees and Northern Spain, where as the Black ringlet lives in the Alps. The picture above was taken at about 2200m in Hautes Pyrenees above Gavarnie. It was flying with four other species of Erebia ringlets, which makes life tricky. |
