| This particular Mountain ringlet was photographed in
England. It only occurs in a few places within the Lake District, generally
high up amongst grass and bog. Places such as Honister Pass, Wrynose Pass
and Wasdale are possible habitats. This one was photographed on Cold Pike
above the Wrynose pass. Approx grid ref NY265033, there were about half a
dozen about, flying over the boggy terrain. It is quite a variable species |
