Eros blue - Polyommatus eros

Underside.

Family: Lycaenidae

Flight Time: July - August

Size: 26 - 28mm

Altitude: 1200-2700m

Upperside. A close relation of the Common blue, the uppersides are a brighter colour, hence the name. Unfortunately I didn't manage to quite capture this on film.

They have a very restricted range, only being found in a few high mountain ranges.
