Provençal short-tailed blue - Everes alcetas

Family: Lycaenidae. Flight Time: May-September. Size: 26-32mm Altitude: 50-1200m

This was taken near Axat in the Pyrenées Orientales, France, in the summer of 1996. See also the similar Short-tailed blue Everes argiades. There is also a third species of the genus in Europe, I've not come across it yet though.
