Chapman's blue - Agrodiaetus thersites

Family: Lycaenidae.

Flight Time: April/June, June/August.

Size: mm

Altitude: 0-1500m

Like common blue but without the spot in cell on the underside forewing. The underside is a sandy blue which helps tell apart from Amanda's blue. This one was photographed in northern Spain, and is somewhat tatty! A clear bird nip on the hindwing. The day was cloudy so a flash unfortunately had to used, so the upperwing is unnaturally blue.
